I can still remember the first introduction to Aromatherapy and essential oils 10 years ago. I attended a local workshop in my town and was so amazed on the benefits the oils provided on an emotional and physcial level. After that workshop I called the presentator and wanted to know more. I thought smells were smells and realized that the products i purchased in the past were "Fragant Oils"; synthetic (man made). I learned about GC/MS testing (test done to validate the purity and components of the oil); different chemical families and chemcial components.
For years I studied thru workshops with that same presentator and reading books trying to educate myself more. When I relocated to Florida and became a Lic. Massage Therapist I knew how this would benefit my patients with the two modalties. I wanted to become more proficient in this Art Form since I was working on the public. I researched around for Teachers in the area and came across a local NAHA approved school. I made arrangements to take her Aromatherapy Certificate program and her Teacher Training progam. It was the best thing I did! I was able to turn my passion and hobby into a part-time Education Practice.
I know teach locally at Massage schools; Community events and hosting workshops at various locations throughout South West Florida.
